     Though good men and women are members of these secret organizations, this does not make the organization good or godly. It is the spirit of Freemasonry that makes these organizations incompatible with the Word of God and therefore organizations Christians should not join.

1. Calling oneself a 'Christian Mason' is incompatible with the word of God. The Bible tells us that we are to renounce secrets and to call no man master.

Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two Masters; for he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other."

 2 Corinthians 4:1, 2 "Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the Word of 

     The Freemasons say that they are simply a fraternity that desires to make good men better. They would say that they are not a ‘secret society’, but an organization with secrets and private practices. It is interesting that though they call themselves a ‘brotherhood’, most white and African American Masonic Lodges meet separately. The Masonic Lodge is the parent organization for the Order of Eastern Star.
